About Us
Waste Training and Consultancy Ltd (WTC Ltd) is a waste management training centre and a CIWM (WAMITAB) training and assessment centre based in the UK.
WTC Ltd are accredited by The Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM) and The Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) to deliver the training, mentoring and assessment of recognised Waste Management Industry and Resource Industry Training Qualifications.

Lynda Smith is the head of the centre and has been in the Waste Industry for 30 years, firstly as a Landfill Manager, quickly progressing up the ladder to regional manager for one of Yorkshires largest waste management companies. Lynda loved operations but made the decision to eventually leave and open up her own Waste Management Training Company back on 2010 and has used her experiences and mentoring nature to train and guide hundreds of learners through their waste management training journey, and achieve their industry qualifications.

Lynda is passionate about the environment and when not in the office or out visiting learners, she will always be found in a forest or the beach close to home. She loves the great outdoors, walks through the fells of Cumbria and running through the meadows of the Yorkshire Dales. Lynda also has a passion for nurturing, coaching and mentoring which guarantees her learners, experience an exceptional quality of service.
WTC Ltd are based in Yorkshire with assessors and internal verifiers based nationally. Therefore; they are able to offer qualifications around the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Apart from the Accredited CIWM (WAMITAB) Qualifications, WTC Ltd also develop and deliver bespoke waste management training, and environmental awareness courses to suit your company requirements. We can tailor training packages to include all of what you require your staff to learn in any one course. This can be delivered in site at your premises or on our new online e-Learning platform which will be available from July 2023. (Taking bookings now for e-Learning).
Finally, WTC Ltd also provide Environmental Consultancy services, specialising in Waste Management and Anaerobic Digestion.
