About Lynda Smith

​

Lynda Smith, Head of Centre, has dedicated over 30 years to the waste industry. Beginning her career as a Landfill Manager, she quickly advanced within one of Yorkshire’s largest waste management companies. In 2010, driven by her passion for training and mentoring, Lynda established WTC Ltd to support professionals in achieving their waste management qualifications.

Beyond her professional expertise, Lynda is deeply committed to environmental stewardship. When not working with learners, she can be found exploring forests, moors, and coastal landscapes near her home, or trekking the fells of Cumbria or Scotland. Her dedication to coaching and mentoring ensures that every learner receives exceptional support throughout their training journey.

Nationwide Training & Consultancy Services

Based in Yorkshire, WTC Ltd operates with a network of assessors and internal verifiers across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, enabling the delivery of qualifications and consultancy services nationwide.

In addition to accredited CIWM WAMITAB qualifications, WTC Ltd designs and delivers bespoke waste management training and environmental awareness courses tailored to meet specific business needs. Training packages can be fully customised to ensure staff receive comprehensive and relevant instruction.
