Composting Qualifications

The CIWM / WAMITAB Waste Management Qualifications are nationally recognised through the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and are gained in the workplace.

Composting Qualification

Achieving your qualification demonstrates that you can work to the standards expected by employers in your industry. The Composting Qualifications are part of the CIWM/WAMITAB Operator Competence Scheme and are designed to provide technically competent managers with the key knowledge and understanding that they require to ensure that their composting operations comply with the appropriate legislation:

  • Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2007

Level 4 Composting Diploma

There are no entry requirements for these qualifications; however, there is a requirement for learners to provide evidence generated from the workplace and must therefore have access to the correct working environment and tasks that allow the learner to complete the qualification. 

The above qualifications are designed to uncover your underpinning knowledge and understanding for Composting Operations and demonstrate your overall operator competence. The qualifications have been developed by the Waste Management Industry, Advisory and Training Board (WAMITAB) in conjunction with CIWM and managers within the Waste Management Industry.
