This week has been all about the minerals and aggregate industries for me.
Working closely with a number of recycling and quarrying clients, it’s been great to see the impact of a much-needed break in the weather!
With the weather beginning to dry up, we’re seeing a clear positive impact across recycling and aggregate production sites.
Improved ground conditions are enhancing material handling, reducing contamination risks, and allowing for more efficient processing and stockpiling. Better access across yards and haul routes is also contributing to smoother operations and increased throughput.
For recycling facilities, drier conditions support higher quality outputs and more consistent recovery rates. On the aggregates side, it enables better screening, crushing, and grading performance—ultimately improving product quality and supply reliability.
It’s a strong reminder of how critical environmental conditions are to operational efficiency in our sector—and how important it is to maximise productivity when the conditions allow.
A great opportunity for sites to push performance, build stock, and maintain momentum heading into the next phase of delivery.
Keep up the great work across all sites—and long may the sun keep shining.
