Waste Management eLearning Update

So far, 2024 has been incredibly busy with new and ongoing projects, CIWM (WAMITAB) training and assessment, compliance visits and more. We have introduced and certificated new CIWM WAMITAB Learners, have built new training courses to accommodate for the ever changing trends and legislation within the waste industry. We have built and provided tailored environmental management systems and waste management plans for a number of SMEs and have now built and launched our eLearning platform! It has been an incredible time and long may it continue.

I wanted to pop this post out there, to tell you about our new eLearning platform having recently launched the first eLearning course. The eLearning courses we have built and developed over the last 12 months have been a dream of mine for a very long time, spanning all the way back to my early career. I struggled in the late 90's and early 2000's to find good quality and reliable information, in particularly when undertaking my CIWM (WAMITAB) Qualifications. I wished all those years ago, that I had a 'go to' place, to gain all of the required knowledge and understanding to enable me to feel competent and ready for my WAMITAB assessments. This 'sowed the seeds'.

Unfortunately back then, it was a case of learning everything on the job as I worked my way through major challenges and obstacles, making mistakes and learning from them. It was very difficult for me to gain solid information, and when I did, it took hours to research for scattered information across different text books, law books and the old dial up internet connection, which was very close to useless! I really wished I could find all the information I needed, in just one place.

So, here we are, many years later having just released our first eLearning course on the topic of 'The European Waste Catalogue - and How to Classify Waste' . It has been a very long time coming.

The new eLearning courses are catered for all diversities. I studied the learning styles of my CIWM (WAMITAB) learners and taught course participants and then developed the learning around their needs. The result is a straightforward approach to the topics, easy to understand content, visual and audible information with exercises rather than tests. I am developing all of the courses in-house meaning that our overheads are kept to a minimum. This has enabled me to significantly reduce the cost of training for our participants. For me, this was an important factor, due to past experiences with me not been able to afford most waste management courses in my early years of working in the industry. I believe that all persons need to be given the same opportunities and one of the bigger challenges in self development is that people simply cannot afford to purchase industry specific courses.

And so, what we have is a multi beneficial platform designed to be a one stop shop for anyone interested in waste and resource management training, that is easy to understand, easy to navigate and compliments a persons way of learning. The first of many courses has been uploaded, and over the coming weeks and months, we will be adding many more topical eLearning courses to the platform.

Please take a look at the site here: https://www.wastetraining.co.uk/category/all-products

You will see the many topics we are going to be covering with our eLearning. Please contact us if there is a course you wish to participate in, but cannot see it on the list. We can look at developing tailor made courses.

Our eLearning courses are priced for accessibility and start from £45.00. Once purchased, the learner will be sent joining instructions and have 90 days access and can visit the courses as many times as they wish to, within the 90 days. Payment is by card, PayPal or PayPal Instalments. Full instruction and guidance will be given upon registration.

More of the eLearning content will be added over the coming weeks and months.
